Joining and leaving

There are a number of ways to join the Plan.

You may be reading this section because you have been automatically enrolled (or have been told that you will be automatically enrolled shortly) or because you are thinking of joining the Plan voluntarily (opting-in). The following paragraphs explain both situations.

I have been automatically enrolled

Government legislation designed to help people save for their retirement, means that the company must automatically enrol eligible employees into the Plan. So as long as you meet certain criteria, you will automatically become a member of the Plan and start saving for your future. The company will also start to pay into your individual account.

For more information about automatic enrolment, click here. As part of this process you will receive login details for our secure Plan website. Once logged in you will be able to review your contributions, investments and monitor your retirement savings. Click here to login to the secure Plan website.

If you’re not eligible for automatic enrolment or you want to join before your auto-enrolment date you are able to join the Plan by opting-in.

Opting-in to the Plan

Experian UK employees can choose to join the Plan at any time by opting-in. You can choose to opt in through the secure Plan website by clicking here. You'll then be able to specify your contributions and investment choices.

You’ll have been given details of how to join the Plan when you start employment, but you should contact the Experian Pensions Team at Capita if you have any questions in the meantime.

Opting-out of the Plan

If you’re thinking of leaving the Plan but are going to carry on working for the company, there are certain things that we suggest you consider first. Visit the ‘Thinking of leaving’ page for more information.

If you have decided to opt out of the Plan then you can do so by logging into the secure Plan website.
