I'm away on family leave?

During statutory maternity leave, the Company’s contributions towards your retirement savings will be based on the level of pensionable pay you would have had if you had been working normally, and the Company will also top up any shortfall in your own savings. This time will be treated as continuous pensionable service if you return to work after maternity leave. To read about the impact on your SMART contributions click here

Maternity leave that is non-statutory, or not paid, may not count as continuous service.
