I leave (opt out) of the Plan?

If you are considering leaving the Plan but are not leaving Experian then you should think carefully about the valuable Plan benefits you will be giving up.

The options available to you in respect of the savings you have built up will again depend on how long you have been in the Plan. These are the same options that apply when you leave the Company, unless you’re opting-out within one month of being automatically enrolled, in which case you will receive a refund of your actual contributions to the Plan, less the statutory refund tax.

If you still decide you want to leave the Plan you can opt out by giving one month’s notice to the Company to enable your instructions to be processed. You can opt out online through our secure website.

As long as you remain employed by the Company you can rejoin the Plan at a later date by opting-in through our secure website. You don’t have to wait to be auto-enrolled again, although you can only opt-in twice within any 12 months period.

If you opt out of the Plan and remain in employment with the Company, you will be automatically enrolled into the Plan every three years if you satisfy the enrolment criteria at that time.

If you have any questions about opting-in or opting-out you should contact the Experian Pensions team at Capita.
