Trustee board

The Plan is run by the Trustee directors of Experian Retirement Savings Trustee Limited. There are nine Trustee directors, six chosen by Experian (including an independent Trustee) and three elected by Plan members. Trustees have many responsibilities and must ensure that the Plan is run in accordance with the Rules. The Trustees are required to act prudently and honestly and in the interests of the beneficiaries of the Plan. The Trustees have a duty to all members – those in employment and those who have left either the Company or the Plan but still have pension savings in the Plan.

The full Trustee board usually meets three times a year. Committees meet throughout the year to conduct more detailed work on behalf of the full Trustee board and focus on benefits, communications and investments. The three Trustees elected by members (those who are currently paying in to the Plan) each serve a three-year term of office and are eligible to stand again for re-election. Details are sent out when an election is about to be held and you are encouraged to consider putting yourself forward as a candidate if you are an active member.
